I have K-lite codecs installed on my PC and I have had them for a while but now for what ever reason I can't get any streaming videos to play on my PC. Regardless of the file type . I use media player classic. Anyone know what the problem is ?

I'm pretty sure it's a conflict of codecs...
Download this to see what codec you need for the video/audio files...
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
Then download this to view current codecs installed in your PC... you can also use this to enable/disable codecs...

Tried it but I can't get it to work :( Also is it normal to have 362 codecs ?

362 different codecs??? :oh
I only have 45 video codecs installed, and most of them are Windows' built-in ones or from other video players...
But these are the most important ones that you need to install: WMP9/10, DivX, XviD, AC3...
With those 4 installed... I practically can watch most videos on the web...

So should I get rid of them all and just install fresh ones ?

I don't think you should remove them all, cause some comes with the software you installed... anyway, let me show you what codecs I have, then you can remove some weird ones... :corn

It seems that you installed a lot of video player and editing software, right? Did you have this same problem before? If no, then do you remember what you added lately?

Hmmm... strange man... Media Player Classic souldn't be the problem, cause there is no additional files being installed... it just an executable... I have it too... you can just run it from anywhere... the version is 6.4.8.2...
It has to be some other software you installed... :dunno
