Opera vs. Firefox
2 Reasons why I still prefer Opera to Firefox:

Download Manager: I find Opera’s download tab much more nicer to use than the popup window in Firefox. Why doesn’t Firefox just integrate the download as just another tab?

Session Saving support: If i have 10 tabs opened up and my boss passes by, I just close Opera. When I re-open it, it asks me whether I want to restart the last session. I click ‘Yes’ and voila, back to time wastin’ =)

{ripped off from some d00dz site but i agree}

Firefox is the best if you want to ditch IE, but there are still allot of websites that will only work right in IE.

All you say can be achieved in Firefox by installing the right extensions...

in fact it is very few.
I browse thousands of new websites weekly, using FF, and rarely find one that doesn't work.

And amazingly, when i do find one, it's written by an idiot and doesn't even validate to w3c standards......

sooooo.

stick with firefox.

and opera is nice, but why get a haacked version when you can get something for free......

why is there so much hatred tward IE all the time... i personally see nothign wrong with it..because it has way to many exploits, and i dont have time to keep 37 computers up to the minute up to date with windows update.
not to mention that since all of my installs are on a volume lisc, legally, that means that it's a pain in the ass to update them now.

so i prefer to use an alternative browser that has features which have been available for years (tabbed browsing, custom toolbars, etc) without needing to aorry nearly as much about exploits and "undocumented features"

It also cdonsumes way more system resources than it should, has frequent memory leaks causing a loss over time of system memory and useability, and has the great "feature" of occasionally not being able to properly render a correctly formatted page since it does not conform to the W3C internet protocol standards.
not to mention that it fails to properly interpret headers meaning that i can send you a link that says its a wmv video file in the link, and then have it actually be an executable virus file just having been renamed since IE does not actually look at the mime header information.

that's why

in practice....sorry error validating your copy of Windows XP, you appear to be using a copy of windows that is intended for businesses and volume resellers....blah blah blah.

so instead, i get to baby sit them all the time.....

just another reason to detest mocrosoft.

oh, and don't make me bring back the signature form the R1Forum with the IE users click here autocrash..........
