Like you, I love Firefox for many reasons, including popup blocking. So over the last few weeks I’ve been surprised to see occasional popups.
It turns out that some clever people figured out that you could launch popups from Flash, getting around the Firefox default settings.
Fortunately, you can get around it:
1. Type about:config into the Firefox location bar.
2. Right-click on the page and select New and then Integer.
3. Name it privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins
4. Set the value to 2.
The possible values are:
* 0: Allow all popups from plugins.
* 1: Allow popups, but limit them to dom.popup_maximum.
* 2: Block popups from plugins.
* 3: Block popups from plugins, even on whitelisted sites.

i'll stick with a browser that doesn't have more than 10,000 verified exploits in it's history.....
Thank you.

And the default FF popup blocker setting options... you can't even adjust the filter level... there are more setting if you use "about:config", but most average user don't know that... :corn

BTW - I love the new version of IE... Works great for everything I need. The only thing I would like to see are the Tab's that FireFox has..................

Hit combination of ctrl and t keys simultaneously and it will bring up new tabs. Much better and faster than go through menu tab.
Also, ctrl and r will refresh the page.

and thats what i was referring to.
oh and if i really really want to.
i can get the source code, modify it, and recompile it to add even more features!
all by merely searching for them on google, or if i'm really lazy.
just by checking the Mozilla/Firefox froums.
and you would do this in IE how?????????
oh thats what i thought.
most people who use firefox are not computer idiots....
The same CANNOT be said for IE.
I deal with them on a dialy basis.......
