Some thimes when I am trying to download something using bit torrent it tells be it can't because port 6881 is not open or is blacklisted. Should this port be open and how do you open it. I use mcafee firewall.

Yes, if you're using a router, you need to go into your router's configuration and enable port forwarding for ports 6881 to 6999... check this site, find your router model and it will show you step by step how to do it...

Btw... do it for both TCP and UDP... not just TCP like the site said...

No router just a firewall

No router just a firewall
That even more simple, just add your torrent program in your allowed list in your software firewall... :corn
Or if you want, you can also setup the port forwarding...
