:( Well known for British engines... unreliable! :hung

SUNDAY 19TH JUNE 2005

Just as one Aston Martin was in the pits receiving ice and water treatment, the other was coasting to a halt out on track - not the best couple of minutes for the Prodrive cars at Le Mans.

The seventy-third version of the world-famous French race was played out in epic heat and this seems to be the root of the problems for at least one of the British Racing Green cars.

The Darren Turner car took to the pits for and saw the Prodrive mechanics take to it with water and ice. Turner retook to the circuit only to come straight back in for further attention. Just as this was happening the other Aston was coasting to a halt out on track.

Driver Tomas Enge began to weave the car - highlighting the possibility of a fuel issue, then he resorted to moving the car on its starter motor before marshals came out to join the effort. Soon Enge was out of the car however, game over.

With just over an hour to go in France the #59 car remains in the pits; will it return to the circuit to take the chequered flag?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.....

still a damn good and respectable showing for a basically new car......

Be interesting to see what happens with the aero rules for GT1 next year though, they are damn near as fast as the LMP cars down the straight now....

hehehe

GO CHEVY!

It wouldn't be a problem if the race was a 12 hours race...

It would be interesing about the aero rules... but the LMP class will always stay ahead and this is where the engineers comes to play...

GO ASTON!

GO ASTON!
It was at Sebring........
If not for a rotor failure on the Corvette, which was traced to faulty manufacturing, The C6R would have won Sebring as well........
