Question Is it possible???

Is it possible to hook up two operating systems for example ( Windows98 and windows XP) operating simultaneously?

Here is why I'm asking
My girl and I just got a place together and we now have 2 computers.
I have windows98 ( I know I know:r1budha) and she has an E-machine with XP. If it were up to me I would burn the two and start over but it's not so I won't.
With the brain I have, it seems like I can hook the two computers up via USB and just use my computer as a external memory that I can pick into when needed.

So is this possible??:comperror

I think you are referring to connecting them in a network?

if so, yes you can.

You will need what's called a KVM switch to do this... and yes you can do it. A KVM switch shares your monitor, keyboard and mouse then you hit a switch to go back and forth between each pc.

Not exactly sure what you need/want to do, can you explain more?

are you wanting to setup both computers on one desk using 1 monitor, mouse, and keyboard you do this?

But.................................

If you want to network and just share your C-Drive and use her computer the whole time you can place your computer tower anywhere in the house as long as it's connected to your network with a Ethernet cable to either your modem or router. But you need to share your C-Drive on your computer first...

This will work perfect. Really didn't want my computer going to waste for right now. My girls computer is a bit on the slow side for me, and needs to have the HD rebooted. Also I have some great porn on mine that I don't want to let go of.
