I'm kind of new to this, anyone works with this to maintain/update their websites? Any suggestion or recommendation?

There are quite a lot of free choices out there, not sure where to start though...

I'm playing with joomla as I get time.. I have it installed but haven't had a bunch of time to mess with it yet.

Shagz uses word press and his looks great.

I use WordPress, but that's really only a blogging package. There are plugins and such you can install to do other things, and there's a bunch of stuff around to integrate Gallery2 with it.

Past experience says stay away from the *nuke CMS's (PHPNuke, Postnuke, etc.) -- we've had several customers of ours get their sites nailed by exploits using those (I work for an ISP that provides web hosting services among other things). Seems like they tend to have lots of security advisories requiring updates.

Personally, I've messed with Joomla, Drupal and Mambo some -- all of which are actual full-on CMS's, and may be better suited to business applications or something that needs lots of bells and whistles. I went with WordPress because it's simple, compact, and does only what I need.
