Windows Mail not responding

When someone sends me a pdf file in Windows Mail, it can't open it....it just goes "not responding" and I have to close it....what a POS...doesn't anyone have any suggestions on this?

I now have two e-mails in my inbox that Windows Mail can't delete....all I get is error message when I try to move or delete them....

I have never been able to open any pdf file in this piece of crap product....and it came with Vista...i fruggin hate it...

My daughter send me something from Iraq and I can't open it.

Is that Outlook or Hotmail or what?

I don't see a reason only PDF files wouldn't open unless you don't have a program that normally opens PDFs.... do you have Acrobat or something to that extent?

I can open pdf all day long with Adobe on my PC...just can't open anything that is attached to Windows Mail (that comes with Vista)....get a "not responding" message and it has to be closed....it is a Windows Mail defect....has been that since I bought this computer now over a year....and it is really pissing me off...

that is very weird, have you tried saving the attachments before trying to open them directly from the message?

Seems to be a lot of issues with this according to what I am seeing on

here are some things I found..

Quote:
under the Security tab of WM options there are check boxes for attachments, review them, set them and see if it helps.

also you must have an appropriate program installed for the kind of attachment you wish to open.'for instance for PDF you must have a PDF reader installed.

Seems you have to save it then open it
Quote:
This is a known Windows Mail bug. You already know the only
workaround: save the attachment, then open the saved file outside
of Windows Mail.

I'd just dump that piece of shit program and get something else
