Calling all Uber Geeks

I Need some help setting up a new machine......

Just picked up a Compaq proliant DL380R01 (free) Its a Dual Processor (PIII 933) with 1 gig of Ram, and 6 Ultra 3 SCSI Hard drives (10K rpm 36.4 gig).

My goal is to set this up as a File Server / personal web server running a unix based OS like Ubuntu....

Right now I am stuck on two things....one, I cant seem to track down a SCSI driver becuase I cant figure out which driver I need, and two - Should I run Ubuntu Server on this and do you think it has enough ass to run it?

well you could run ubuntu or any linux flavour on that just fine. It also will run Windows server 2003 just fine too.
I've still got an old proliant here with dual P3-600mhz in it serving as a terminal server.
