Long time "Adventure" style rider spending some time back in the juvenile hall.
Was given a basket case '94 Katana. Quite literally carried home in a basket and a box and a bag and some stuff in the pockets. Free is good. I know it's worth more as scrap metal than it is assembled, but I call it my "internship". I need the knowledge more than I need the speed.
Had to ziptie the bodywork on the frame to quiet down the wife and clean up the garage.
This past week, was offered such a hell of a deal on a Ninjette 250 for my daughter, I had to bring it home. 2300 miles on an '07. Old style or not, perfect for a new rider. (Who is barely a junior in high school)
She learned on a '72 Honda CB350 and ain't killed herself yet, so she's ready for an upgrade (downsized?).
My first love will remain my '08 KLR, but I'll remain lurking in the shadows and the grandstands on raceday.
