For this time of year I would say a good quad from where you are from. Or maybe a turbo busa. If you are gonna do it go BIG!!!

J/k Most peeps is going to say a 250 ninja(a great beginner bike BTW.) Since you are so young there is nothing you should get other than that. Your insurance is going to be way high for anything else. I would say that untill you are 18 and maybe a ninja 650r or a Supuki SV650. Then ride that for a few years and get a 600.

To be honest, I would say scour Craig's List for an older bike. You will drop it over time being a newbie and it's better to drop an old clunker than it is a new bike.

This time of year, prices are fairly good on Ninja 250's.

If you can keep your ego in check, your skills will improve far better by starting off with a smaller bike. Learn to take the bike to it's limit instead of it going well beyond yours.

Damn that thing is ancient..

I've known people who have bought a 1000cc as a first bike and have been fine.. It all depends on your own self control and skill..

personally I would go with a 600 it's a mid range bike that you won't grow out of in a few months like a 250 and will be fun bike no matter what you are doing
