Buying first sport bike

Looking at getting my first sport bike. I do have some experience riding bikes so I'm not a complete newbie but I might as well be. I am looking at purchasing a 2008 Kawasaki ZZR600 or a new 2013 Yamaha FZ6R. I'm stuck as to which one I should get. Can anyone give me some insight to this problem. Thanks
