Snack Food

I am looking for a healthy food to snack on between meals. I am an UNdedicated bodybuilder, so I try to take in a lot of protein while watching my weight. I am actually trying to drop a little fat if anything.
I love peanuts, but fear they have too much saturated fat in them to be eating all the time. I do snack on some flax seed, but that just isn't enough. Fruit seems to have too much sugar/carbs.

i do cottage cheese, my shakes w/ crystal light in it, cheese, beef jerky, oatmeal (very good for you). and chicken in a can, tuna in a can

Thanks for the ideas. I didn't think of oatmeal, tuna or chicken being a snack since I already eat those daily, and don't want to have to look at those foods more than once a day. I am currently on a break from oatmeal, b/c I just got so sick of it and couldn't eat any more.

Oatmeal rasin cookies are probably a good idea...(In my manliest Martha Stewart voice...) Could you please post a recipe for those?

Snacking = Eating
Eating = Stuffing your face without a purpose.
You should be feeding your body.

Hunger is only felt when your diet isn't dialed correctly. Its sad but I havne't felt true hunger for probably 2 years.

So there is your answer: if you're hungry make a meal. snacking is a meal without direction. You owe it to yourself to do it 100% or choose something else.

But on a lighter note Walmart had all their 1% turkey burger expiring tomorrow so it was $1.56 a lb. Bought 19lbs of it hehe. I love this stuff.

I would have liked to see the unedited version for some motivation.
I need to learn a little more about diet before I can go 100% all out on the diet. Plus, I just turned 21, so I am enjoying legal drinking for a little bit before I go all out.
