Gaining Mass, waist getting smaller

Well, its not like I have a 6 pack or anything because my stomach is definitely not shredded. However, I've noticed that even though I'm doing all the things to get stronger and gaining weight my waist line is trimming down some.

I'm back up to 220 now, and am eating quite a bit. Yet, yesterday I was able to fit into my size 34 pants, something I haven't done comfortably in quite some time. I really haven't changed my workout routine, and my cardio is anything but intense.

The ONLY thing I can think of is this......I've been sober (no beer) for almost a month now. I was probably drinking 6 to 18 per week as a standard thing for a long time, but no more. That is the only thing that has changed, so I'm thinking that is it.

I'd have to aggree about the beer. There's a reason it's called a "beer belly".

Congrats dude!

Now if I could get my lazy ass to the gym.

I wear a 36 in jeans because I like them loose fitting, but my slacks I usually wear 34 (when I can fit into them)

It sounds like your body is starting to transition. When I started hitting the weights hard I noticed that my gut shrank. That means you are doing a good gob! Keep it up!

Congrats man! My 6 pack has turned back into a small keg. I got sick around Christmas and never really recovered at the gym. Today though, I go back and hope I can make it stick again.
