We who bike

and not talking pansy gym bikes but the real deal here

I have worked up a pretty neat route now that is around 15 km, that deals with varied terrain (and the occational angry old lady) with both uphills and downhills and flats.
It has pretty much become my daily thing now, which is good, and it's become pretty evident that my oxygen inntake has increased, as I'm no longer on the virge of passing out while looking like a proper tomato at the end of each run. I guess the fact that I quit smoking a few months ago has something to do with this :

I know Storm has taken up the challenge and is doing 20 km runs (that's bike runs) and Junior might be too.

Anyways: I did my 15 KM bikerun this morning. and i'm trying to find new and longer routes that I'll gradually start doing.

Apparently I'm short, so my 15 km runs can be counted as 30 km

Just kidding

I really need to get back into my bike riding. Anyone recommend a good brand & model. Say upto USD$1,000 mark?

hmm... get something by Specialized or GT... you can't go wrong with them...

If you want something more custom, then I can show you something else, but it's way more expensive...

My brother is an avid biker he is sort of a hippy and puts 3x the miles on his bike that he does his car. Trek and gary FIscher are both names he has mentioned as excellent.

I think you should stay away from Mongoose because he offered to give me his mongoose bike.. and he's a tight wad.
