Whats on the Menu ??

I'm looking for some ideas on what would be a good healthy menu to eat while trying to lose weight. I'm currently 5' 11" and pushing 240 lbs. My problem is I quit smoking and develope bad eating habits because I'm always on the go. Here is a run down of what I eat through out my day.

Breakfast: PopTart and some water on the way to work.

Lunch: Any fast food most of the time.

Dinner: Fast food or something the wife makes..Most of the time I skip dinner or grab a small snack.

Weekends: Fast food, Anything cooked on the grill(steaks, ribs, chicken....) and lots of Beer.

I've tried just cutting my meals to chicken and Tuna but that sucked. I'm only drinking water now.(and beer) I know the fast food has got to go.

Any tips or help would be great.

Thanks, Bensin2

starting off small go for fast paced walks or jogs. Then lead up to joggin at a steady pace. Start lifting weights at a min of 3x a week.. Make sure you run a min of 3x a week.

Stop eating fast food regardless and instead of buying unhealthy foods at the grocery store buy more vege's and fruits. Cut all the lil unhealthy snacks out.

Pretty good advice here my only suggestion against it is there is never a minimum anything is better than nothing. If you're dead serious about getting into good-great shape yes I think hellbound gives good advice 3-6x per week for excercise. and it really does help when you only buy the foods you should have its a lot harder to eat junk food when you have to drive to get it.
