Garmin Forerunner 305

This could also belong in the Geek section, but what the heck...

Over the last couple of months I've really gotten into running again with 40+ miles per week. My old trusty Polar heart rate monitor was starting to show it's age, so on the last trip to the US I bought a Garmin Forerunner 305 heart rate GPS monitor.

I must say this thing is GREAT and the training software you get with it is very good.

You get exatly where you've been running, distance, speed, heart rate,..... anything you want. It can even get you back to where you started in case you get lost

If you're into running, consider this little gem...I'm glad I did !

PS: ...and I've lost 33 pounds since I started running again

Yes I was... 227lbs to 194 lbs... I'm 6'2"... I figure 20 more pounds and I'm all good.

Your heart simply stopping at random intervals is a great incentive to get back in shape... Went on a 45-minute run today and my heart rate never went over 150...

yes for sure it is............. That's great that you made that big of a change in such a short time too...

I'm 6' and 195, so you really want to loose another 20?

When I weighed 170-175 my goal was to get to 200 lol

Now I'm just trying to stay put.

DAMMIT !! Ive been runnig 3 miles a day for at least 4 days a week since Late dec, and havent lost a POUND!!! but I can run 3 miles in 21 minutes ........ hahahaha

Dang I missed this post. Belgium that sounds like a cool product! would be fun to wear when you ride. see if your heart rate goes up in the twisties.

I got the 305 about 4 weeks ago and love it. its really good to show how you are improving and what is actually working. I think it has made me work harder cause i can look and see what i am doing and trying to do better than the last time. Way to go alex.
