coming around again.
some talk about the 150lb + 50lb of fat got me thinking. thought i would share my story. when i got out of basic training i weight about 160. i am a tad over 6'1. i couldn't stand the obese. i looked at them as being lazy. i coulnd't understand why they couldnt run 3 miles every other day. well i was 18 then and i am 31 now. somewhere between now and then i sided with the fatties. i weigh 214lbs now. i did weigh 218 before the holidays. i have been hitting the gym pretty regular since november. i work out before work on an empty stomach (learned this from basic training). i lift for 15- 20 min. one muscle group. then elliptical machine for 30 min. then either run or cycle for 15 min.( depends how my legs are feeling). i wish i had more time, i get there as soon as the gym opens. i drink a protein shake right after my workout. my diet goes to crap after that for the rest of the day. i hope to improve on that. baby steps. i dont expect to get down to 160 again. about 185 would be nice. i do have a question. should i take creatine before or after my workout. i really like the stuff. especially since we now have mirrors in the gym now. yea, i like to look at my muscles. i just dont want anybody to see me doin it.
edit: i was down to 204 before the holidays. damn sodas and pies. oh, the pregnant wife and her endless appitite for rocky road ice cream isnt helping things either. get the behind me junk foods.
