I like it personally. Yeah, I agree GM is jumping on the nostalgia bandwagon. But hey if it worked for Ford....
They needed something though (besides the Vette). With all the Mustangs and Chargers out there, Chevy has to make a showing. It makes me wonder what the next generation Vettes will look like...

Why is GM and Ford going all Retro while all the other import car manufacturers are not doing any Retro style stuff... maybe this is why GM and Ford is having problems selling their products... I still think the market for Retro style vehicles is not that huge...

Because the imports don't really have much in the way of "retro" to speak of. Who's going to want to buy a redesigned '78 Honda CVCC?

Honestly, I think many of the various import vehicles held their designs far longer than domestics. Look at how long Saab held their designs? Jaguars have held familiar body lines for quite a while.

Sure, the retro market is pretty small. But it's a nostalgic market and many make some decent money from it. But, not enough to stay afloat from it.

I know what you mean fjorn... but my point was, everybody is going forward while GM and Ford is going backward with their designs... Look at the last model Mustang and Camaro and compare to this latest ones, they're just going backward with the looks...

Various import vehicles held their designs far longer than domestics? Not so sure about that. They might held some similarity, but they're all going forward, not backward. Saab held their designs for so long? Yes they did and guess what, they almost went bankrupt last year, for all these years under GM's management, Saab has been reporting loss so far, never actually made any money yet, GM almost dropped them last year. Take a look at their new designs, they dropped their old signature design with all their 2005+ models, which are much much nicer now... and Jaguar, it's a different story, but their designs are still going forward with every new model they come out... take a look at BMW and MB, 95% of their model designs only kept very little of their heritage, they only have like 1 or 2 retro models, which they barely sale anyway... unlike GM and Ford, go take a look how many retro models they're coming out with... one hand couldn't count them all...
