We have a plain-jane silver Camaro with dark-ass tint roaming the streets here. You'd never know it was a cop till they already had you.

Man, I hope your kidding.....They may "call" it that. But that is not what entrapment is by law, or by US supreme court case law.

California code at least used to call for traffic control cars to be black, white, or black and white. Anything else waas considered entrapment. Here in VA. they can use whatever they want. And they do.

So if that's entrapment , that means it's only illegal to speed when they can see me from their marked cruisers I'm moving there.

My wife works for the Cape Coral PD here, and told me yesterday that they just got 2 new unmarked cars. Dodge Chargers....1 red and 1 black. Something else to look out for now....

In California an unmarked car can stop you AND write you a ticket. 99.9% of the unmarked (unmarked meaning without markings/emblems on the side of the car, not just a slick top) cars are not used for primary traffic enforcement. But there is no law in California that says an officer in an unmarked can't stop you if he/she sees you violating the law. No entrapment about it...

Last time I was out that way that was code. Granted that was early eighties. Uncle knew the local CHP commander.
