Need Help

I would like to a buy a "new to me" car preferrably of the Eurotrash variety.

Here are my wants:

-Budget somewhere at or under $13,600
-Newer than a 98
-Should have less than 100,000 miles if it's a higher-end car
-Eurotrash or sporty non-ricer Japanese car
-4 cylinder (not turbo- just don't want to go there yet) or 6 if it gets REALLY good gas mileage
-4 doors
-comfortable for a tall person riding or driving.
-manual transmission if it's a fun car to drive
-must be a fun car to drive
-should handle like a go-kart.
- can NOT be manufactured by Hyundai
- should not look like a car a 17 year old boy begs his dad to buy him... or a 16 year old girl drives

What I've been looking at:
VW
Jetta- test drove- thought it was okay
Beetle - was WAY more fun than the Jetta to drive.... I like the prices, like the idea of people getting punched over the car.
Passat (decided it's too much like a Taurus)

Suburu
Impreza
None of the others I can think of that don't look ridiculously dykish. BTW, SDAF- Suburu Drivers Are Fags.

Mitsubishi
Lancer
Can't think of another that meets the last requirement on my list.

Audi
A4
A6
S4

BMW
318
323
M3
do not care for the 5 series or 7 series Bimmers

Mazda
M3- The newer ones- would really like, but they're still just outside my budget right now.

Any ideas? Any that I'm missing? Any feedback on the ones I have listed?

Thanks guys!

Pinky our company has MANY Mitsubishi Galants 2003 models. All four cylinders, no V6's. 5 speed manuals (smooth shifting), excellent fuel economy, four door, spacious trunk, good ergonomics (IMO), get a little bit of wind noise and chasis flex if pushed real hard in corners (you can hear the windows creak). These models have good pricing as well, spacious interior and very comfortable front and back. Check out the link....CLICK ME

edit: Power windows & mirrors, central locking etc

Lexus IS300 meets all your needs and is way more reliable than any thing you listed. Reae drive too. Traction controll is standard but youn can turn it off. Avial with auto or manual.

Its basically a four door supra

Beemer 323 series, you'll be happy. A co-worker has one and loves it. But, have a local dealer/ garage for repairs and/or preventive maintenance.

Still out test driving and doing my research. I think I'm pretty stuck on VW. I can get a better car for the money I want to invest in a car right now. If I get outside the VW area- I seem to be running into the problem of the cars being older than my current Blazer, and having the same amount of miles or more. That's not what I want.

I've also decided that I'm not ready to own a bimmer. My kid and the MN winters would DESTROY anything that I would want to keep absolutely pristine. This goes for the other upper end vehicles, too.

Last night I test drove an older Passat- I had orginally ruled this out because it's a bit big in size for my visual liking- and the ones I was driving before just bored me.

This one was the older smaller Passat (98) and it was quick, responsive, tight, and still fun.... and it had a tiptronic in it. Kinda nice to have that ability. Flawless interior exterior still in excellent shape for MN and general wear and tear.

I'm still looking. Not just going to jump, but I'd like to have a new car within the next 2 weeks or so.

I bought a super cute arrest me red fully loaded beetle last night. Matched all of my requirements for what I was looking for in a Beetle, and exceeded them. It was a killer price, and they gave me more than I was hoping for on my trade-in of my Blazer.

I'm a happy driver.

My moms had a turbo version....

Dont know what stipulates a 'girl' car but the thing railed hard and handled very well.

Fuel eco was solid too...

My mods are ghey...
