Should i get this?

So, my dad wants to junk the ol station wagon. It's a 1974 plymouth satellite. Thing is still cherry, 76,xxx miles, near perfect interior. It has been kept in the garage since day 1. I want to keep it but don't really have much room for it. The plus i see to keeping it is that it's smog exempt, which means i can cruise around with a big block and blower in it and not get a ticket ahhhh.... the memories of family outings in that thing :r1budha

1974 and only 76,xxx... that's pretty low mileage for a car over 30 years old...

Btw... you got any pics?

Satellites where one of my fav musclecars. Enough room under the hood for a 440 (which can net you 1000hp naturally aspirated if build properly) and enough room in the backseat for 2 fully grown adults, enough room in the trunk for golf clubs, cases of beer, whatever.

Awesome cars. My buddies dad had one when I was in highschool, it was his favourite party trick to get somebody to put there foot just infront of the front wheel, and he'd pop the front end of the car off in a wheely, jump over their foot and have it back to a stop before he ran them over with the back wheel.

not really a huge thing I guess, but it made a damned cool trick to a pack of 15 year olds that thought Honda 4 cylinders where cool

HAIL TO THE KING!!

Try and put a 4x8 shhet of plywood in pretty much any SUV cept burbans and such and see how far you get. Go with a 440 six pack. With some hidden cold air that would be an awsome Q ship

The back seats fold down so you have from the tailgate all the way to the front seats for room. The tailgate can fold out like a pickup or swing to the side like a gate. I was looking at the emissions sticker on the window and it listed three different engines for the wagon, 318cid, 400cid and 440cid

There you go already legal for the 440. Dont get me started on yhe suv thing. A 96 caprice wagon can tow more than most suvs and gets 26 mpg when not loaded down. While it wont fit a big screen tv the room behind the rear seats is more than anything but a burban or excrushin. The rest have the same space as a pinto
