Saw those before. A good testament to Toyota quality.

Yeah, they were built good back in the days. I wonder how they would hold up nowadays?

toyota quality my ass, I'd take my jeep back for that type of stuff... sure the jeep rattles more, but it'll be still driving long after the roaches are wiped out, much less the humans.

my buddy once drove a jeep home with 4 dropped piston skirts and a broken frame

it was a slow and shitty drive with people on either side making sure he made it, and the truck was going down the road damned near sideways, but he made it.

meanwhile, I'm in the process of swapping the 3rd motor into my toyota

HAIL TO THE KING!!

toyota rocks. Quality in build is tops for mass production vehicles.

My 86 Turbo 4Runner goes great but it does have a rebuilt engine. Only thing I don't like Is in the Turbo SR5 series they use a auto trans, I could swap it out for a manual but it has to be the same year and a pickup. Hard to find

I can testify to a Jeep's uncanny ability to drive around with a broke frame. Nothing like turning the wheel full lock and having the thing track almost straight. :jimmie
