Tire/Wheel question

I want to buy some OEM wheels for my car. Nothing fancy, just don't like the steelies. Will the existing 225/65-16 tires fit on 16x6.5 wheels? I know ZERO about wheels/tires. Thanks!

Yes that tire size will fit on that rim. That size tires will fit a rim width of 6-8"

I use tire rack for all my size specs and reviews for automotive tires. Select your tire size, then select a tire, then select "specs" and it will give you all the info on the tire, actual measurements, tread width, rim size etc.

I second that on fitment. Ive worked in a tire shop for 13 years :r1budha. Now offset is a different story :. To check that, set the rim face down on the ground, (maybe on a piece of cardboard or something) then set something flat across the top of the rim like a wooden ruler, then get another ruler and measure from the hub to the ruler you laid across the top. This should give your back spacing. Measure your stockers as well to see if they are close. If you already know the offset of both rims, then you don't have to measure.

If and when you call Tire Rack or whomever ask about "take off" deals. They come into play when a large "tuner" gets a bunch of cars from an oem and puts his own wheel tire combo on. You can get a new set of wheel tire combo of stock alloys and tires for under a grand easy
