Man , I have to say that at first , I thought the ' guitar hero ' series of games would be pretty lame. I never thought that I'd be semi-addicted to it - boy was I ever wrong.
We were walking through Sam's Club , and there was Guitar Hero I, on sale , and they had a demo set up so you could play it and it would play on 6 plasma screens around that area.Well , one play and I was hooked.
The 2nd main reason that I got this game ( I would say " the main reason " but we'd all know I'd be a liar ) is to help my daughter learn how to play guitar. I've been playing since I was 7 , and this game really does a good job at teaching ' keeping time ' and basic structure of chord changes.
So , I went out and bought Guitar Hero II , instead of I , mainly because of the two player game capability, but DAMN IS IT FUN!!!
The main strengths I see in this game are :
2. EASY - the level that is sooooo easy that yes , you can play drunk , and yes , it is still fun!
3. Not so easy that it's boring. You can kick it up to Medium and it has some rather challenging songs, it's a load of fun
you have to successfully play through songs to unlock more songs. So that means you'll be suffering through some songs you would otherwise skip over. That's pretty much the only part I don't like about it , but I guess it'd be really hard to come up with a song list where everyone liked every single song.
Check it out!
