Never heard that before. They don't develop many games do they? They must be getting quite a bit from licensing the games then

the system that is making profit for next gen is the Wii, the 360 and Ps3 are loss for every console sold. They make money back on hardware and accessories

If you had read the article, you would see that Microsoft is making money on the 360.
Approx $75.00 each using the same criteria.

I just find it so hard to think that they are losing money.....prices of parts are expensive when bought in singles but with the amount these companies are buying them it is in so much bulk that the data from this is skewed.

A $200 part in bulk pricing might cost $25-$50 for these big corporations.

That is taking into account the discounted pricing they would receive.

And if you think the markup on electronic parts is that much, you're wrong.

especially in the computer world.

not in this day and age.

I had my own computer business....I think I know what markup is....

the more you buy the more you save....hence the huge price difference. Sony is not buying a couple hundred of each part, they are buying MILLIONS...

the cell isnt cheap to make, its expensive. Even the Xbox 1 was taking a blow for awhile till prices came down. They are all using the top of the line technology as well as some new innovative features. These companies can take a blow, they know they will make it up in games, hardware, and accessories

Because i cant follow the SIMPLE site rules, i've earned myself a vacation.

I shall familiarize myself with these rules before posting again:

NO, just because someone disagrees with you, they aren't a moron (they may be for other reasons, but hey, so might you).

YES, you CAN disagree with someone else in a civil and respectable manner.
