the company line is that their isn't enough interest to offset the amount of time and capital required to get past EPA regulations.

which i personally feel is bullshit.

With the near advent of Fi in MX platform bikes isnt going to be soon that it would be easier to get them in street dress quite easy?

depending on the area you live, if the bike is labeled on the MSO as "OFFROAD USE ONLY", then you will never get a new one titled.

My only option is to buy one used, from someone in another state, that has been titled and plated already.

not what I want to do.

Suzuki has it already on their 2006 450 quad. I bet it won't be long until the bikes have it.

Dang I love that white/gray bike very cool I think.

I also dont get why they dont import at least a limited number of steet legal bikes, and I'm surprised they dont have FI this year.

IN japan they have a pretty cool Xr400 SM. there was one for sale for $8000 on ebay just last week. waaayy too much and pokey compared to these babies!

wrong.

most state DMV's have a list of offroad only vehicles, and they will not title them period.

In fact, most will not let you title anything that looks like a dirt bike without providing either:
a) a manufacturers MSO whci states the vehicle is EPA current and acceptable
or
b) a previous title and registration if bringing in from an outside state.

the second one also requires a physical inspection and roadworthy test in many locations. Including the state I live in.
