And I got all the body work stripped off last night to start prepping for the paint work. Next on the list is to remove the swingarm and box it in.

Very nice.... you can send me those shocks if you want to.... I will test them for you to make sure they are good enough for your bike.

And then with the Blue Pearl Put on over the base.

Looks like its cleared but that is just the pearl...still have to put the graphics on, then a translucent mid coat with metal flake in it, then the clear. I didnt get a picture but this is some serious Blue......held a stock fender up to it and the ol Yami Blue looks purple compared to this blue. Cant wait to get this put back together!!!!!!!!!!! Going to start taping off for graphics and what not tonight and spray the pearl white tomorrow. I ll post up when the graphics are done

personnally not a fan of the flames (sorry)... not into flames in general really though... the underlying paint job is amazing, and I love the adaption of the traditional Yamaha livery... very cool. Mad prop on the skills man... keep them coming.

You guys have been eerily quiet on the end results of the paint. Anyways, starting the swingarm this weekend (reinforcing it and smoothing it out). I ll post up some pics of the progress on it as i go.

Was just looking at this bike the other day:
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/fe...4&gid=1&pg=all

I wondered why there was no front fender..... This thread answers that question.
The paint looks really dam cool, bike looks sweet!

Good luck on the contest:

Thanks!! I probably should have waited to post a pic on the Yamaha contest till the fender was done and on but I got in too big a hurry. Here is an updated pic....also added the LE R1 logo to the side fairing.
