Question 2004 YZF-R1 (British Spec)

Does anyone know if the British 04R1 instrument panel has the electronic ability to change from mph-kph and vice versa with its own internal software?

Please don't mention add-on electronic devices as that is not what I am after.

I believe all electronic yamaha dashes have that capability, iirc, hold down the function button for 10 seconds and it should switch.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

Okay let me extrapolate a bit more.

A buddy of mine has taken his Middle East spec 04R1 back to the states. The only thing stopping him getting it registered is the mph reading on the odometer and we are both well aware that the US spec dash can change BUT that particular US spec model DID NOT come with a factory immobilzer with the indicator light in the instruement cluster. Hence the reason we are trying to source one that can convert kph-mph option plus have the immobilizer indication.

My next step is to research further up in the R1 models.

Beavis I want an instrument panel that shows the immobilizer indication light along with the switchability from mph-kph
