yeah thanks much for the pics Biga, but damnthe R1 is just not exciting anymore.
i mean it kicks ass on the spec sheet, especially over my 2003, but it doesn't move the soul style wise. i remember a time when the release of the new models would split your damn wig wide open, and now it's f'ing paint, and a price hike.
not impressed at all with the latest offerings:r1budha

Yamaha has changed the R1 and now the R6 from head to toe and kept the looks almost exactly the same , it seems to have bitten them in the arse in respect to sales.

If I lived by those rules I would have to move down to a kickngo.my R1 seems so fast it makes me feel old and slow every time I ride.:r1budha . . honestly I think of some young person picking one of these for their first bike and the zipsplat that follows. nothing like having a bike that laughs at you when you try to wring its neck, or wheelies at well over 100mph, man that bike is fun.

but see....what i don't understand, is why Yamaha keeps making bikes that look like the freaking starship enterprise, but are CAPABLE of making a bike that looks like THIS:

YAMAHA! Put a replica of this bike on the street, and you'll sell out in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get it.

Colour changes only...... interesting that the US gets the black bike with gold forks, yet here in Aus we get a black bike with black forks.......

Although there is one black with gold forks here in Aus, but there was a lot of wheeling and dealing to get them swapped over.....
