Resurrection of an 00 R1

Gday All,

Long time no chat. Life has been absolutely insane down this way recently.

Anyway ... I thought Id post up something quickly on my latest project.

As most people will know, one of the most respected members of SBF decided to part out his pride and joy about 12 months ago.

Its never a good thing for anyone to have to choose to do .. but sometimes other things come first.

I decided that I couldnt bare not to see the bike rise again somewhere .. so I spoke to Mark and he sent all the body work, lights, tank etc down under.

Its been sitting safely wrapped in bubble wrap in my workshop for the last 9 months waiting for the time when I found a bike to bolt it on too.

Finally, on Monday with the help of a couple of very good friends of mine I picked up a 2000 R1 for a steal.

Its not pretty now ... but the Firehawk R71 will rise again.

Ill keep you posted.

Cheers

H
