2008 Zx 10r

Well, I did it....went and put a deposit on an '08 ZX 10R. I've never owned a Kawi in over 40 years of riding. In fact, I've never ridden a Kawi. I suppose that at my age:r1budha, it's kinda fun to gamble. Now, I'll see what all the Kawi guys are talking about.

Hmm.... interesting move.

I supose a totally new ZX-10 will come out for 2008, right?
Are there any pics/specs out there yet?
And are you going to keep the K5?

Anyway...... congrats and let us know what are your impressions on the Kawi

Yep, as I understand it, Kawi is on a 2 year "re-design" cycle: 04/05, 06/07, 08/09. There's no info out yet. The only criticism I've ever heard/read about on the 06/07 is that the suspension is difficult to set up right. Maybe they will do something about that.

I'm keeping the GIXXER 1K and selling the R1. Two bikes are enough, expense wise.

It'll be interesting to find out what I bought...

wow... there is no spec nor info on it and you've already put a deposit... I hope that dealer doesn't sale only Kawasaki, just in case you want to change your mind... :

But if it's going to look anything like their O7 ZX-6R, then that would be awesome!

The dealer sells Zook & Kawi at this location and Yamaha at their other location. We have a deal that if I don't like the '08 for some reason, he'll just get me an '07, which I do like. Hopefully, the '08 won't look like some back-street abortion. Maybe, I can get some info sometime in September.

Ah that's ok I guess, worst come to worst, you can pick up a GSX-R1000K8 or a O8 R1, the white scheme is quite nice...

What about the price? You asked them to guarantee you the same price as the 2007 ZX-10R, right? :

I love the white too...damn clean!

I never even talked price. I know they'll treat me right. I've bought 3 bikes from them the past 4 years or so. Their out de do' prices are fixed. The '07 GIX 1K is $10,600 OTD. Can't remember the '07 ZX 10R price, but it's good too. They let me put my R1 in their showroom to sell it. They do all kinds of financing, so I thought it was best/easiest to try and sell it there. Besides, I hate trying to sell a bike myself and I don't like having people I don't know come to my house.
