I recently bought a cbr600f p2,
It has a title but it says 1987 on the title.. I know for a fact that the model of this bike is not a 1987. It has 1993 hoses and parts on the bike. The vin number matches from the title to the bike it self. Theres proof that the bike was not stolen, and it wasnt chopped. I call honda with the information i had and the guy told me that the vin number was registed to a 1987 50cc scooter. He said there got to be a mistake with in the system. Has anyone had this kind of problem? If so what do i do?

What state r u located? Vin# the eight number from right to left is the year! ,

Vehicle Identification Number - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In cali if there is mistake you would have to take the bike to dmv and they should be able to fix the problem pretty fast, the scooter might be stolen!
