From Ducati's website

"NEW CONCEPT BIKE UNVEILED - THE DUCATI HYPERMOTARD
Ducati chose the Milan launch of the 2006 range to unveil a concept bike for the first time.
The Ducati Hypermotard. Stripped down to its essentials, the Hypermotard is an extreme performance, totally over-the-top motorcycle. Its purpose is single minded to thrill. "

Looks like a duck from the front to me, other wise it looks great. If they would cut off the front feder, that over hangs the tire. Then it would look even better.

Oops, I did mean to say re-shape, not cut. Thanks for pointing that out.

I mean other than that little piece, like you mentioned, that bike is too goregous.

DUCATI CEO confirms Hypermotard Production... should be ready in Spring 2007

First of all, I would like to tell you all that: WE WILL PRODUCE THE HYPERMOTARD! Thanks to the capital increase, the enthusiasm shown by Ducatisti and the work done in research and development, we have decided to add the Ducati Hypermotard to our production schedule, without giving anything else up. We are also going to reduce the development time thanks to the work done while the bike was still a concept. So… THE DUCATI HYPERMOTARD WILL BE READY IN YOUR DEALERSHIP BY THE SPRING OF 2007!

now that would be a FUN FUN bike!! 100hp hehe I have to admit I'm liking the seeming growth of Supermoto I think its a fun sport both to watch and to do (I haven't been on a track yet but I'm sure its a blast) I'm hoping this trend of "practical" motorcycles continues.
I noticed last year when gas prices shot up there were 3x more motorcycles/scooters on teh road it was really cool.
