The front looks like a beluga whale.

But I still love it, which one of the forum members is going to get one of these?

It would probably be around the USD$60,000 mark like the previous model

yea....but that's not the bike in question. unlike WSBK, the motogp bike IS the same displacement and IS kicking ass...

exactly. so they can do it, now lets see 'em.

point is tho, that with some more production, THIS bike WOULD meet homologation rules, and they could just run their old 990 bikes in superbike. If that isn't competative... they've got a big fackin problem.

the funny part is, until they bitched about the rule change, this DID make homologation numbers, but in their rule rant they demanded that the R7's/FP1's etc where stricken as they where homologatoin specials.

so basicly, they don't want to run this bike in superbike 'cause it's a 4-cylinder, and they don't want to run a 4-cylinder on the street 'cause I have no idea why.

The exhuast goes out of the top, behind the seat. There are vents there

because it is the big thing that seperates them from most everyone else, a twin delivers power diff then a 4 and the power delivery is awesome for streetbikes

nothing like booming through the mountains on a big v twin and they way they feel and sound when the revs get up there is pure sensory magic

hey if you dont like them thats cool but you got to respect their commitment to racing, they have a fraction of the budget and manpower and compete on the largest scale.

and you say build an inline 4 to compete I say if the rules favor a twin then let the big 4 build a competitive twin ohh wait honda tried that and gave up on it for whatever reason cause I have no idea why

because the rules changed and their 4 cylinder was faster.

if the power delivery on the twin is so great, then it can make up for the power difference.

booming thru a canyon to hear the sound is fine and great, but it has nothing to do with racing. I don't resent guys that buy Harleys and I don't resent guys that buy DUcati's. I resent companies that bitch and whine to have the rules changed to favour them.

I'm in favour of having no displacement rules at all, since the Japanese manufacturers will inevitably be bitching next year. Just drop it, no cc rules, no weight rules. It has to be the same weight as it was coming off the showroom floor, use a stock bottom end and head casting, go race. cc's be damned.

but now if Yamaha/Honda/Kwacker wanna build a 1200I4 on a short wheelbase to compete, that won't be possible.

HAIL TO THE KING!!
