Desmos... all sold out!

Source
Ducati RR - webBikeWorld

December 15, 2007 - Ducati has announced that the entire production run of 1,500 Desmosedici RR's is now sold out!

Every single one of the 1500 Ducati Desmosedici RR bikes, the first true MotoGP replica which the Borgo Panigale manufacturer decided to produce in a limited number, has been sold.

Since the official presentation in June 2006, hundreds of requests have poured in, proving the success of this bike from the beginning. Today, the Ducati Desmosedici RR, whose production began a few weeks ago, is ready to be delivered to the first clients who will receive their motorcycles in January 2008.

Which means we should be seeing pics of the first wrecked RR shortly after that...

Absolutely tragic too....cause you know out of 1500 bikes, at least one or two got sold to "daddy's boy", who is riding a motorcycle for the first time. Hell, the horsepower that bike makes would get even seasoned riders in trouble on the street....let alone a NEW rider....

Totally agree Mark, you would have to eat a nice chunk of respectful pie when playing on the streets with it, but oh I would love to have the opportunity to ride/own one and of course the bragging rights.

I debate the fact or claim of GP street bike. On the 1098 forum there, the resource of knowledge is remarkable, and those guys have it in spades. Do the math GP bike for 60k. Shit SuperBikes are getting @ 300k

Still exquisite machines, if I had the dough I'd get one yesterday!

My mods are ghey...

It's still one of the best bikes out there and is there another for sale that is closer to a gp bike? I don't think they are saying it "is" a motogp bike. Those are just as custom for the rider as the parts are custom. Hard to have a gp bike when each one is nearly fully custom.

The Desmo RR is to MotoGP what the R7 was to World Superbike. Not race ready, but inspired by the original.
