Well, I may not have gotten the Hypermotard, but I did get this :-)

Hi guys,

The list below is what mods came with the bike. Still have a few things I would like to do, but not a bad start on the initial purchase. My buddy who is a Honda and Ducati mechanic (retired) in Australia recommended the C-TEK XS800 battery charger. Set and forget, worth its weight in gold he reckons. They use an advanced version (multiple leads) on showroom bikes etc. I'm attaching some pictures (no chicken stripe comments, the tyres are new ) and yes the bike is in the rice storage room . Smart I reckon, as the rice will suck up any moisture in the air (to a point). The bike always goes into the room cold, to stop fumes and the room is aerated once in awhile.
Cheers guys,
Warp

No mate, it's not in the Middle East. It's staying home in Thailand with my family. Cats were always a problem with my R1 when it was kept outside, but not anymore

How can I forget these photos...one happy camper and the white 1198 Base is the previous owner of my 999S, new beasty. And I do not lie about the Sexy-Moto goodies.

congratulations on the bike.

she will run better if you park her next to pasta n Chianti in the living room . maybe she will run on martini or marinara sauce.

Very nice! You're the second person I know to get a bike in the past week or so.

The battery charger you mentioned, is that kind of like a battery tender?

That's awesome Warp - whereabouts in Thailand do you live?
Gotta love those battery tenders, I stuck my R1 battery on one and left it for a year. Fired right up last time I was home. When I go back in September this time, it will have been hooked up for about 15 months - hope it still works.

Hi mate,
I live up in Northern Thailand. Beautiful roads and lots & lots of long winding twisty roads. The boys in southern Thailand are always riding us to our neck of the woods to get on the good roads. I still have to educate myself to ride the 999S, as I still have a tendency to give the bike a handfull still in 04R1 mode. The R1 would delay slightly but the Duc is going to, well I am, going to tear rear tires apart. The acceleration is instant at mid-rpm levels, amazin. She is a beauty and she has more things to come :-)

I need to get one of them for the R1 as it's strictly track only. Had to buy a new battery this spring and it cost damn near $200.

It's a beautiful part of the world - I spent some time up around Chiang Mai a couple of years back and yeah the roads were awesome...unfortunately I was sitting in a minivan

Awesome, thanks. I'll be looking at one that can do multiple batteries as I currently have two bikes with batteries.

I'm a big monoposto fan. I know a pillion seat can come in handy but I really don't like having passengers anymore.
