Very Sad News - Frank Allen (oldscholvett&R1) Has Passed Away

It saddens all of us here at SportBikeForum.Net to hear this tragic news, Frank (OldscholVett&R1) was one of the first members here when this forum was started back in 2005 as the Motomummy.com forum. Frank played a big part in this forum for many years. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. We all shared some great times here online with Frank both on the forums and in chat, Frank met most of us on the R1-Forum many years ago as well.

Here are some links to information about this tragic event and also a link for donations to his family.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family Frank... RIP Brotha... YOU WILL FOREVER BE MISSED!

Motorcycle crash kills man on I-75 near Detroit Ave.

A 23-year-old northeast Ohio man was killed yesterday when his motorcycle struck a concrete median on northbound I-75 just past the Detroit Avenue exit, police said.

Frank Allen of Willoughby was pronounced dead at Toledo Hospital.

Mr. Allen was riding his motorcycle on the interstate about 11:30 a.m. when it went out of control, police said.

The left and center lanes of northbound I-75 were closed between Washington Street and the I-475 split for about an hour after the crash.

I remember Frank from the R1-Forum from a few years back. I opened up the e-mail to hear the news.

My thoughts go out to his family, friends, and all that knew him via the forums. It is more than just typed words, as you get to somewhat know people from the frequent interaction.

Frank was, and will always be, part of a vast bike family that spans the globe. He will be missed.

R.I.P.

Yes he was a well respected member and friend to a lot of us. As mentioned he was "One Of Us" here on this site and the R1-Forum too... It's very tragic and sad to think that he is no longer with us
