Damage to the Gulf Coast

I think this storm was stronger then 140 mph winds. The damage is just unreal.

thats also a good sign of how construction techniques have deteriorated over the last few decades as well.......

it's unfortunate, but some of the newer buildings were destroyed, while some of the "old" buildings held up decently.....

same thing that they found when Andrew ripped aprt the homestead Miami area.....


poor building techniques and many structures did not meet building codes.


it's amazing what happens when you shortcut a few things.....
