The whole world changed that day.

I've been thinking of all the people who lost their lives, and all people who lost loved ones that day ever since I woke up this morning.

Words can not express the disgust and loathing I feel for the perpetrators of this horrific act.

RIP.

I remember I was driving to school changing the radio stations cuz news was on (wasn't paying attention" untill I heard them talking about a tragedy in NY..

Very sad day indeed. I was franticilly calling my EX-Girlfriend who lives in NY to see if she was ok.. She was late getting on the fairy and saw the whole thing. Good thing too cuz her school was close to the towers.

There was a lot of close calls from people i know as well. Either they had taken the week off from vacation, or late getting into work, etc.

Friend of mine whom I grew up with was supposed to be in NYC that day as well, but his project at work was delayed so they didn't send him there. Good thing to, he normally walked through the WTC.

Here's something really ironic.. We went and visited the in-laws when they were living in Allentown, PA in August of '00. During the trip, we went to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was so overcast that day that you couldn't see the top half of the towers. A picture was taken with my wife, son and I and the towers in the background. I wish it would've been clear that day so it would've had the whole thing in it.

whats worse is go take that picture now....and then realize after you took the shot or had the picture made....that the towers no longer exist....and that you have been in that exact spot before and seen them when they were in there glory. Be glad you have a pic of them in any way....and today I made my daughter sit in a minute of silence to show respect for those that where lost.

I was working graveyards that day so I slept through it all. I woke up to find like 7 messages on my machine and was like WTF?! Still hadn't turned on the tv at this point I played the messages and everyone was frantic. Asking question like had I talked to my wife or brother yet. So I started freaking out wondering if we just started WW3 or something. I turned on the TV and just sat there in astonishment for about 20 minutes before I realized that Flight 93 went down only miles from the complex where my wife and brother worked. Luckily I was able to get them on the phone after a few attempts. The rest of that day was just pure disbelief, like I'm sure, most people were feeling.

They had a temporary Flt. 93 memorial up since then, but they're supposed to be building a permanent one. I'm hoping it's completed in time before our next visit to PA. Flt. 93 was the plane Todd Beamer was on who said the phrase everyone has heard alot in conjuction w/ 9/11---Let's roll.

i remember going to school and going to the security desk (was working security at that time) and seeing EVERYONE in front of the tv's. the scenes i saw put me into shock almost...then like most military guys it kicked in and i snapped out of it and called my unit and drove 3 hours to my unit ready to get some shit done listening to the radio all the way there of course. a day i'll NEVER forget. even hearing my units f16's slightly breaking the sound barrier overhead i was headed to base...

I remember that as well. Told my wife to look around that night cause a sky with nothing moving like that is something you won't see too often.

One of my ex-girlfriends was suppose to be on the flight that crashed into the second tower. Her dad and her took a flight the day before instead, but she's still got her ticket for that flight
