Went Tuna Fishing

12 hours of fishing for Tuna and we caught a total of "0" Tuna Countless number of Dog fish and I had the chance to battle with this little guy.

Hope you have better luck then we did. We went the day after Hurricane Ophelia hit the area and according to the Capt. That had something to do with us not getting any Tuna. I think he's full of shit. But fighting with that Blue shark was pretty fun.

We released it. Nobody wanted it so no sense in killing it. Plus the first mate told us something about blue sharks Urinating through their skin. Not sure if it's true or not but I wasn't eating it .

That was the only thing that was fun about that whole trip . They set up a couple rods around the boat for Macko or Threshers (sp) with ballons attached to the line. If the ballon popped and you were next to that rod you were to grap it. I was the only next to that rod so I grabbed it. : My dad says it was like a 20 min fight , I want to say it was longer

Man I miss deep sea fishing.. Hooking a few blue fish at a time is a blast. We used to fly around for Tuna. You can usually see them at the surface. We'd find out where they were and map that spot.

As the sun was coming up we did spot what looked like a small school of tuna but that was the closest we got to seeing one.
