Still riding strong

21,000 miles on the Gixxer now and still in mint condition and have had not 1 problem with it yet. Only thing that is wrong with it now is the last time I changed my oil the rubber washer gasket fell out of the drain plug and I didn't know it. So now my bike leaks a couple drops of oil every day. I ordered my 1 dollar part and am fixing it this week. lol. And I wouldnt really call that a "problem" with the bike.

Along with my bike is my rommies 06 R1, our 2 new 2006 YZ 125's we bought. And the TTR-50 he bought for his kid.

I thought most of the new bikes had aluminium crush washers on the drain plugs....good advertising for Suzuki on trouble free miles though

I'm not sure.

I went to the suzuki dealer and told them about it and they said they ordered the part. I guess I just assumed it was a rubber washer but I could be way wrong. You are probably right.

And thanks

How in the Wild Wild world of sports do you get 21,000 miles in 2 years living in Wisconsin? My last bike I rode everywhere did everything til the first snow flake for 3yrs and I was only at 16,500 when I traided her in. I know this year I really haven't ridden much, and on my 04 R6 I only have 6300mi on her.

Beleive it or not.........the first 15,500 were in my first year on it. So really I should have over 30,000 easy. Especially with the dry weather this year. Only reason I didn't get to that is because I drive to Janesville 2 times ever month and stay a week each time to see my GF. That took over half my summer of riding. So really Im only going to put on about 6,000 this year.......when I should have put on another 15,000 or more.

Also you have to realize I work 3, 12 hour days. Sat, Sun, and Mon. I have all week to ride.
