I guess if you're an Arai helmet loyalist it probably wouldn't be funny. I found it pretty amusing myself

buwhahahaaha

I love it when the guys that pay $800 for a helmet use the "what is your head worth" phrase...

Would you buy a helmet for $50?

hahahaahah

Hillarious!

AND I love my Arai and will continue to buy them!

Honestly...I've worn all kinds of helmets...and wrecked in all kinds of helmets...just fuckin wear one.

After wrecking in my last Arai...I don't fucking care how much it costs. It's worth it. After doing this to my last one...I gladly bought another exactly like it. If it will save my life...I'll buy 10 of them regardless if they're $150, $350 or $650...

But really though...the video was great! hahahaha

As long as the helmet is snell and DOT rated than, yeah, its gonna protect you.

I had an HJC, and i liked it. then found an awesome deal on an Arai, and now the HJC feels like shit.

So yeah, my head is worth the comfort and the price I paid for it.

this has nothing to do with my choice of helmets.

it has everything to do with a lack of humor

No, But I wouldnt buy a helmet for $800 either, when the same helmet without graphics is $200 to $300 cheaper, and even those are over-priced.

I think starting in the $150 and up range you can buy helmets that will protect as good as more expensive helmets. With Arai you are getting a name, more features, probably more comfort, and you are paying a premium for that.

I've destroyed a few helmets, and I agree you need good protection. It all depends on how you use it. If you ride on the street and the occassional trackday, you can do an $800 helmet. If you are a racer that probably goes through 3 to 4 helmets a season, you aren't dropping $3500 on helmets, that I can guarantee you.

I'll probably get another Spec1R next season, just as good as Arai for almost half the price.

Then you'd be wrong as nearly 80% of arais sales are to liscensed road racers.

you'd also be wrong in assuming that even club level racers wont buy them, as that is also one of their biggest markets

as to what you get for the money...
it's like buying a set of Joe rockets leathers, or a set of custom made vanson/Z Custom leathers.

bot hdo the job, but i know which one i'd pay for.

people have different priorities when it comes to helmets.
my top priority is proper fit and comfort with better than average protection.

thus the reason i buy the helmets i do.

and yes, I would not count HJC helemts among those i would buy. They are heavy, have substandard interior fabrics and padding, and are overall on the low end of the mid range market

I'd also like to point out that in todays market, paying even $600 for an Arai replica, is not the norm.

Most go between $400 and $600 on ebay all day long.
I bought mine a local dealer wiht three shields and two packages of tearoffs for $650

If you shop smartly you don't have to spend 800 on Arai's.

Maybe it's just your lack of a sense of humor in this case

Yep. That must be it. I just watched it again.

Still funny.
