NFL Flyovers

I've been to several professional games and Nascar races...the flyovers are always awesome to see. You never think about the planning that goes on behind the scene to make it happen.

Flyovers are always bad ass.. I usually get a little taste of them when they hit the Broncos Game cuz they bank towards the mountains when they head back to Colorado Springs.. I miss it when they go back to Buckley AFB..

One of the few things I used to like about living in NM was seeing the stealth bombers flying over all the time. Their base was just over an hour away, so it wasnt uncommon to see their funky shape in the sky all the time.

Nice to see the Blackhawks towards the end!!!

Got a related story....wasn't a game, but we almost landed on the 50 yard line at the Rose Bowl. My dad retired from the Pasadena Police Department after 32 years of service. They had his ceremony in the press box at the Rose Bowl; the rest of the stadium was empty and quiet. The ceremony was on a Friday, and our helo squadron was flying to Fallon, Nevada for a detachment on Saturday. Passing the Rose Bowl was damn near on the way there. So, after a bit of coordination with the PPD, FAA and a few other agencies, I arranged for us to leave on Friday night instead, get a bit of night training en-route, and put three aircraft on the 50 yard line in the Rose Bowl so I could attend the ceremony. About three days out, the squadron CO got cold feet about three of his birds descending into a confined area, with no escape route in case of engine failure or other catastrophic event. He called it off, and I ended up having to drive to the ceremony. Damn near pulled it off!!!

That's awesome!

Coolest Flyover I've ever seen was when I went to the Indy 500 in 2000 I think it was... 2 Harrier Jets flew over and hovered above the start/finish line then flew off.
