King Kenny Rides Again

I really try to avoid the bullshit emotional side of racing but that engine later appeared in sleds and it is probably the largest part of what got me into racing and by proxy engineering. Something magical about that Yamaha I4 750 2-stroke barking into life.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

I had a very sane and astute salesman refuse to sell me one as my first road bike when I was a very novice level 18 year old rider. I still mentaly thank him to this day for keeping me out of hospitals or the morgue.

That's awsome.

Good luck finding a salesman that will do that that now days.

I will always be a fan of Water Kettles. I saw one years ago, okay decades ago that was bombed to the eyeballs. Massive expansion chambers, ported, fancy reeds, exotic carbs. It would have had to been the most amazing sound 2 stroke I have ever heard. This bike would have definitely killed a novice rider for sure. I remember asking the question why it was for sale, but can't recall the answer I got.

OMG that bike is just plain SICK. Holy shit. I would have loved to have seen and heard it run. Just WOW.

If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

You know you hear people talking about insane power Busa's etc, but these 750 2 strokes were an animal all their own. Absolutely crazy power plants. I can think of one other vintage bike engine / combo that was stunning and that was the Honda 250cc 6 cylinder 4 stroke GP bike. They had a noise all their own.
