Springfield Armory makes probably one of the best .40's. I have shot my bud's Springfield and another friends Glock, the SA is a better gun IMO
My next handgun will be the Springfield

actually i prefer my SA XD to any glock i've owned......

and the Sig 226 is a really nice 40 as is the H&K. Both would be my choice for top of the line in 40.

however S&W now offers a "Custom" in the XD line as well.....

haven't played with one of these yet...

BTW my XD is the tactical which i prefer over the standard for fit in my hand and overall accuracy, not to mention the tactical rail is standard....

I'm more function over form. If I could, Id have a Kimber or Walther, but the glock is just want I need. No BS, very reliable, no frills.... In the end, most decent guns will put a hole in someone's chest at 5ft to 10ft. If I have to drop someone with my glock at 50 yards, then I'm really hurtin...

Ever think about an HK? Either full size or compact. A bit on the pricey side but beautiful weapons.

Nothing fancy

http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/index...A0000&SITEID=A

I had the .45 USP full size and loved it. Ex liked guns and I shot with her but the wife doesn't so I had to get rid of it. If I get another it's going to be the MARK 23.

The P2000 series is pretty nice too.

model 92F is what the military uses. Well I just put in for my purchase permit. take a few weeks for the background check. I have a perfect record so there should be no problems other then the fact the cop who gave me my tickets a week ago walked in as i handed it in LOL. he probably thinks i'm coming for him j/k

can't wait to get the permit and get the glock .40

after research that seems to be the most reliable/rugid handgun on the market.

yea, glock 23 (.40 cal) is what you need!
Why would a background check take weeks? I walked into the gun shop and mine was done in 10 mins.
