What a Saturday!

OK yesterday sucked ass.

Got woke up about 8:30 with a phone call from my Mom. She asks me something, still asleep sao I don't even remember what she said. Then she starts crying and says I need to come out to her house(my Dad's out of town). Now I'm wisde awake panicing thinking omg WTF has happened. Well she proceeds to tell me that one of our dogs(we got him when I was 15 I think) needs to be put down. He's had a skin condition for about 4 or so years that the vets have never been able to figure out and it's apparently gotten really bad. So I go out there, calm my Mom down, and look the dog over. Yea he's pretty F'd up and miserable so needs to be put down. By this time I'm fighting back getting choked up cause hell, I spent a lot of years with this dog myself, 12 years to be exact. I know, stupid crying over an F'ing dog. Anyway, I go dig a hole to get ready to bury him. Take him up to the vet and they put him down. Wouldn't let my Mom go with me cause she woulda lost it no doubt. Bring hm back and we bury him. Whee GREAT start to a Saturday.

After that I stayed out there and whatched a little bit of OU getting stommped by Texas. I exptected it but that just made my day that much better. So I decide I'm gonna go grab something to eat. I head out and stop at a place called Taco Bueno(fast food place much like Taco Bell.) I order, pull up a little bit, put the car in park to get my wallet out. Now, keep in mind this drive-thru is very small and people can't get around. Well I go to put my car in gear and it won't go. Can't even move the shift lever to put it in drive, N, whatever. Can't even push the little button on the stick to move it. So there I am, sitting like a dumbass, blacking the drive thru with people beind me thinking WTF! Long story short I spent the rest of the afternoon waiting on a F'ing tow truck, going to the dealership, fighting with those asshats about not giving me a rental, and waiting on someone to pick me up. : : :

Sorry had to rant! TODAY WILL BE BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About the car, since you waited at Taco Bueno for a while... did you at least try to hook up with the drive-through lady? :

It's not stupid to cry over the loss of an animal, they become a member of your family, sort of like a brother or sister to me. It sucks when you have to put them down, but it's part of life.

Sorry to hear about your rotten day, hope today is a better one for you.

My Lab is 8 years old, and I'm already dreading the day she will leave us.

She was and is our first daughter. Sleeps in our room and everything. No shame in crying over your dog man.

When they put Kira (our lab) to sleep for her sterilisation, I cried like my mother just died. I love that dog.

There's just something about a living creature that loves you unconditionally and would die before letting something bad happen to you.

Just remember, any day that you wake up, is a good day.

I had a highschool friend who didn't wake up last week, and she was 34.

Reminded me that no matter how bad the day seems, if i woke up, it's still a good day.
