Anybody else read alot?

I used to read about a novel a week, and with the job I have now - working graveyards - I've had time to start reading again. I'm just looking for some recomendations on what to pick up next.
I don't really go for non-fiction. I read a couple different genres:

Legal/political thrillers: Tom Clancy, John Grisham, a few from James Patterson

Horror: Stephen King, Dean R Koontz, etc.

Sci-fi/Theological: Dan Simmons, Dan Brown, (I want to get "The Left Behind" series from Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins)

I just finished a 4 book series from Dan Simmons, The Hyperion Saga, and one more by him called Ilium. I've just started Angels and Demons from Dan Brown--You may have heard of another one of his, "The Da Vinci Code" . Anyone have any other good recomendations of a decent writer?

With the exception of the Sci-Fi stuff, you've covered a few of my favorites also. Up until a couple of years ago I had all the Dean Koontz books. I know he just did a two book Frankenstein series which I haven't read yet.

I really don't have time to read a book... I spend most of my reading time on the internet... Maybe you should add " I read the internet daily" lol

if you're into a slightly more, er, interesting novellist, try clive barker... kind of somewhere near stephen king, but a little more out there

That would depend on if you are comparing him to the early and good Clancy, or the later and wordy and rambling Clancy.

Personally, i read just about everything.
Clive Barker is interesting.

If you want to read some good non-fiction, go pick up anything by Stephen Ambrose, or read the book by Chris Kraft (NASA flight director from the beginning up through the early shuttle missions)

if you want to have some fun at work, pick up Uncle John's Bathroom Readers.

Interesting trivia, and you'll be amazed at all they find to write about.
