Question Best site to sell?

I just want everyones opinion on what they think is the best site to go to to sell a bike?

Only place I can think of now is cycle trader. Any other sites out their that might be better or that some of you guys prefer over cycle trader?

Thanks for any opinions given.

Let me add to that I would prefer sites that let you run your ad till it sells.

I see cycle trader wants like almost 50 bucks to put your ad in for 4 weeks. That a joke.

What about eBay?

I know there are alot of scams on eBay, but you're the seller... just make sure the buyer's payment is done by either cash in person, bank wire, or a certified check where you have it cleared first...

Sold my accord through Craigslist even when it was also listed in autotrader. It gets a lot of action but LOTS of scams to so make sure you have certified funds before you do anything.

Also if you can wait 4 months before you sell and things pick up you'll probably get 25% more for your bike. They are DIRT cheap right now.

Chatting with someone through E-mail right now from this site. Says he is interested. Just sent him pictures.

I have a bad feeling it won't work though because of the distance between us.

I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks again bro for the tip.

Sold my SV650S on ebay...for me at least it was a positive experience. Got exactly what I wanted out of it. No problems with the buyer. He came and picked it up and paid cash (which is what I stipulated in the auction--no Paypal fees). I ended up paying about $90 to ebay...but, I opted for all the bells and whistles: biggest picture package, featured plus+ listing, highlighted listing, etc.etc. Yeah, it tacked on a good bit more to the cost, but the visibility and the view count I was getting (several thousand views) was well worth it. To get my asking price of $3500 cash was well worth what I spent to list it, IMO.

Don't know if you're familiar with ebay, but if you go that route, just think it through first and plainly list what you will offer and what you won't; i.e., if you'll ship or not, will you take cash only, will you sell to members with less than a certain feedback number, do you reserve the right to end it early if you find a local buyer, etc. Also, if you host them yourself or have ebay host your pics---do yourself a favor and take the time to get good pictures of your "clean" bike. People that only show one blurry pic (or none at all) I don't even give a second glance. The more good pics you have on your auction, the more time people will spend on your auction page. Good pics from every angle reassure people that you're not hiding something.

Good luck whichever route you take to sell it. If you need any more ebay advice, let me know.
