Pay-Pal

Here is the thing, I want to buy a set of Pazzo Levers from GSXCorey, but I'm unsure about useing Pay-Pal.
Is this just a fear of an old guy like me?

to be completely secure you need to email your backup data (credit card #, checking acct/routing #, PIN #) to a 2nd party who will store it for you. I would be happy to help you out

In all seriousness, you should be fine :corn

I have been using it for about 6 years and not one problem. They do charge too much but that's just the way it is.

I never have any problems with PayPal... been using it many years too...

If you're worried... then just never leave a lot of cash in your PayPal account... the only problems I heard/read from people getting was their account got suspended/locked by PayPal due to fraud suspicious... but that was like couple of years ago... anyway, every time I received cash to my account, I just transfer it to my bank account right away...

right, but they can go INTO your checking account that you have provided and put a freeze on those funds as well. They garnish the account and hold onto the disputed funds.

Solution? Use a secondary checking account with no cash in it, only use that account to transfer paypal funds to. After that, transfer those funds to your real account.

Good info... I didn't know about that...

But they can go into my checking account even I didn't authorise PayPal to direct withdraw money from my checking account? Cause for payments, I used CC registered with PayPal, I just registered my checking account to receive funds, but not withdraw... :corn

I'm only going to use my Visa Card number, they are not going to get my checking account info.

I use my Matercard #, not my checking account. I've never had a problem in 5 years.

I've been burned by paypal, but it was as seller, never as buyer. Sent the guy the CPU he'd bought from me, he swapped it with a fried one and sent it back, paypal defaults to the seller being fraudulant, and he got the money and the chip, I got no money, lost the chip, and got a paperweight.

other than that 1 time tho, enver a problem, I wouldn't hesitate to use the service for buying, not at all.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

paypal fees are actually reasonable guys...they aren't that far off cc fees...trust me

the one thing you always want to do as a seller is make sure somewhere int he paypal transaction you STATE the product clearly and always ship to the addy that is listed by paypal.

paypal is actually a damn good form of payment...
